Hey guys so I know I’m absolutely terrible about posting, but again, I’ll try to get better. Ok so I believe I left off on Friday. Well you might have seen the pictures I put up on Facebook, but we went to EKKA, which is the Australian equivalent of the Big-E. It was so much fun! There were people dressed up in all sorts of costumes and there was a huge building filled with all these stands. At each stand they sold themed bags. One of the ones I took a picture of was the Pepsi one where you would pay a certain amount, usually around $20, and get a backpack, hat, pepsi bottle, and other assorted stuff, all Pepsi themed. Such a strange concept haha. After we went through that building we went to the more carnivalish part and went on one of the rides, which I was thrilled to do since I just love carny rides so much. I mean why shouldn’t you trust those high school dropouts that are paid minimum wage to put together an entire fair in 24 hours? Anyway, after that Katie and Carrie went on another ride. One thing about carny rides here are that they cost a lot of money, ranging from $8-$15, it’s ridiculous. We then decided to move out of the carnival area and go to see all the farm animals from dairy goats to sheep to cows (we couldn’t find the chickens). We even got to hold a lamb, which we of course named Lambie. After the farm animals we just walked around a little bit, got some coffee and then some “fairy floss” aka cotton candy. Some people went on one more ride and then we all went back to the city. When we got back into the city we decided to go to The Pancake House for dinner. The restaurant is open 24 hours and obviously has the best pancakes. They have everything from plain pancakes, to Mexican or other assorted dinner pancakes/crepes, to dessert pancakes. We all obviously got dessert pancakes, mine were plain pancakes with grilled bananas, chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and walnuts…mmmm (there's a pic on facebook). The other cool thing about the restaurant is that it used to be a church, but was converted into this restaurant. We all thought they should have named it Heavenly Pancakes, but that’s just us. After The Pancake House we went back home to a party at our house. One of my roommates had invited over some of the Aussie beach vball kids, so we all hung out for a while before going to a bar called the Victory, which was a lot of fun. All in all it was a great day! That’s all for now. I promise to update again soon (I’m writing it right now)! Love you and miss you!
